History

Founded in 2001, Datanomic has a pedigree of developing innovative and powerful data profiling and enhancement solutions.

Originally developing individual point solutions in C++ for auditing, cleansing and matching of complex data, in July 2007 the company launched the first version of its award-winning dn:Director application, an end-to-end data screening, auditing, and transformation solution entirely rewritten in Java.

Since the launch of dn:Director, the company has consistently achieved triple-digit year-on-year growth and is rapidly expanding its geographical reach and penetration across a wide range of vertical markets.

Datanomic’s dn:Director Sanctions & PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) Screening solution is rapidly becoming the AML/KYC screening solution of choice throughout the financial services industry, already screening billions of client records every month. Significant penetration into ‘traditional’ financial services sectors such as global Retail Banking, Merchant & Investment Banking, Wealth & Asset Management, Hedge Fund Management, Stockbrokers and Pan-European Third Party Administrators (TPAs), is being supplemented with additional market traction from e-payment technology providers. Datanomic’s Sanctions & PEP Screening software is used for Sanctions screening in the world’s largest mobile payments implementation. It is also being used in increasing numbers by international law firms to ensure compliance with 3EUMLD and other AML legislation.

As a truly data-agnostic application, dn:Director is being used by organisations from a wide range of vertical markets to deliver fit-for-purpose data for use by teams throughout the enterprise, including marketing, finance, risk, operations, facilities management, human resources and obviously IT. Currently, customers benefiting from dn:Director’s end-to-end data governance may be found in financial services, telecommunications, legal, government, healthcare, utilities, professional services, engineering, manufacturing, publishing and retail.

Headquartered in the technology hub of Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, UK, Datanomic has enjoyed rapid expansion of its customer and prospect base. In line with this growth, the company has added headcount across multiple functions, including Sales, Pre-Sales, Customer Support, R&D and Professional Services. Current headcount is just over forty personnel. Excellent staff retention, especially within the company’s highly qualified R&D team has ensured the maintenance of expertise and technical thought leadership to keep the software at the leading edge of the industry.

Datanomic’s geographical reach is similarly expanding, through both direct customer engagements and via our growing global partner network. Datanomic’s software is now in use use across four continents servicing the international offices, global subsidiaries and affiliated organisations of its customers. This includes deployments throughout the UK, in the USA (New York, Delaware, Baltimore), in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, Afghanistan, Tanzania, South Africa, Egypt, Kenya, and India.

Furthermore, Datanomic’s partner network comprises many of the world’s leading system integrators and business consultancies, providing it with extensive penetration into markets throughout Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Australasia.
