Data sharing top challenge for UK banking industry in 2006
Sanctions matching key in wake of recent terrorist actions. Data sharing and co-ordination is top of the agenda for UK banks wanting to fight financial crime in 2006, according to new research out today. The exit poll, taken at a recent event held by the British Bankers Association (BBA), sees data sharing rated the top challenge by 40 per cent of delegates, ahead of ID fraud (30%) and managing risk (15%). Perhaps surprisingly fraud prevention and detection were the top concern for only 5 per cent of delegates polled.
