Datanomic’s dn:Director 6.2 is in Terms of Essential Features, Complete’ says Bloor Research

Leading independent analyst house, Bloor Research, has cited Datanomic’s dn:Director 6.2 platform as the most flexible data quality product on the market today and in addition, the product is, at least, in terms of essential features, complete. The fully integrated platform, based on a single unified repository provides companies with an all encompassing answer to address the issues of data quality and data governance, or in support of other environments such as data warehousing or master data management.

dn:Director is, as far as we know, unique, says Philip Howard, Research Director, Bloor Research. From the outset, the product was developed on the basis that its component parts were complimentary and should be part of a single whole, rather than being developed independently and then integrated. Other vendors that offer data profiling and cleansing, for example, tend to mandate that you do each task separately. This is not the case with Datanomic.
dn:Director 6.2 delivers automated Web Service generation for easy deployment of real-time transactional data quality services in a Service-Oriented Architecture. The new release enables organizations to deploy a data quality firewall to protect core systems from data problems using graphically configurable web services, preventing duplicate, incomplete or incorrect records from being added to core applications.
Howard added, We like the way that Datanomic is aware that both business analysts and development personnel are likely to be involved in data quality projects, and that is has provided an easy-to-use application with capabilities appropriate to both levels of user.

Using dn:Director, non-IT personnel, such as data stewards, business analysts and owners of data, are able to identify and rectify the compromised data which place enterprise operations at risk. dn:Director offers a comprehensive interactive learning environment for organisations to profile, audit, cleanse, parse, match and merge both structured and unstructured data, using clearly defined processes and full accountability to data owners and stakeholders. Using the data quality management and reporting features of dn:Director, enterprises have gained measurable business benefits such as reductions in costs and decreased customer or employee churn, and have implemented fast and effective solutions to data issues caused by market and regulatory changes.

Datanomic has built an impressive, referenceable blue chip client base in key vertical sectors
which demonstrates the capability of the product, says Howard.
