dn:Director for Sanctions & PEP screening software integrated with IBM’s Global Name Recognition Technology to deliver exceptional accuracy of screening in Western and Non-Western languages/character sets
Compliance Screening and Data Management specialists, Datanomic Ltd, today announced that it has signed a global Business Partnership Agreement with IBM and integrated its award-winning dn:Director for Sanctions & PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) Screening software with IBM’s Global Name Recognition (GNR) Technology, combining rich functionality to deliver accurate, systematic screening in both Western and non-Western languages/character sets and create the industry’s most powerful software solution for risk and compliance screening.
Customers with mission-critical screening requirements, such as the world’s largest banks, insurers and financial institutions, airlines, border controls, security intelligence and law enforcement agencies can now select a fully-integrated solution which offers GNR’s multi-cultural information about specific individual names as a series of processes within dn:Director.
IBM’s GNR technology is the only approved linguistic matching software certified by the US Department of Homeland Security for advanced linguistic analysis. It provides multi-cultural information about specific individual names, such as culture of origin, gender, and order of given name versus surname. The software can understand variations in names based on geo-locations, variants in spelling, and inherent transpositions. In doing so, it is able to recognise customers, citizens, criminals and other risks and threats across multiple cultural variations of name data. dn:Director combines GNR’s information and name scoring with its other attribute matching capabilities to deliver a highly sophisticated screening solution.
Barclays Group is the first joint customer to deploy dn:Director for Sanctions & PEP Screening software embedded with IBM’s GNR technology throughout its global organisation, screening millions of customers globally every 24 hours.
“The data screening requirements for our large global customers are becoming more challenging and complex,” said Dr Jonathan Pell, CEO of Datanomic. “Our business partnership with IBM and the embedding and integration of IBM’s GNR technology with the dn:Director platform means we are able to remove all of the data complexity around screening for customers. We can provide them with a powerful, easy to use interface that combines rich linguistic capabilities in a fully integrated and proven solution. The integration of dn:Director and GNR has created the most advanced and most accurate combined screening solution on the market. Customers with global, complex, or mission critical requirements will now have access to the powerful combination of these technologies, whilst eliminating unnecessary false positives. We look forward to working with major public and private sector customers worldwide.”
dn:Director for Sanctions & PEP Screening software enables organisations to rigorously and systematically screen their customers against Sanctions, PEP, anti-money laundering, counter terrorist financing and other risk data sources, whether national, regional or global. Datanomic’s unparalleled accuracy and unique ‘Decision Intelligence’ capabilities eliminate rework and drive down compliance costs by reducing the burden of false positives. As the industry’s most advanced Sanctions and PEP compliance platform, companies using Datanomic’s software can rest assured that they not only achieve compliance with local and global regulations but that they protect themselves from the brand and reputation risk resulting from ineffective customer screening.
